Before I share a little bit of my story, I just want to thank you for taking the time to read through it and for finding my website. If you’re here, you’re probably looking for some hope, some help and some support in an issue that you’re facing in your life. I’d like to share a little bit about myself and what I think equips me to be someone who could partner with you. I am very passionate about helping women and couples heal. I’ve learned in my own journey that it doesn’t matter what “it” is that you’re going through, the steps to heal and overcome the challenge and get on the other side of it are very similar. 

 

I had honestly lived a pretty good life until I had an unexpected life transition that happened in June 2005 at the age of 35. (Little did I know at that time, that what I was about to go through would unlock my passion and propel me into coaching.)  In 2005, I found myself with a 2 year-old and a 5 year-old and dealing with infidelity in my first marriage. It was honestly the darkest, toughest season in my life. As a recovering perfectionist, I jumped right into the healing journey. I literally did everything that came my way. I got involved in church, got involved in a support group for betrayed spouses, read every book I can get my hands on, did counseling, went to seminars, and started volunteering with an organization that helps couples heal from infidelity. As difficult as that time was, it was also one of the sweetest seasons in my life, because my faith grew so much. I was so focused on saving my first marriage, and doing whatever it took to keep my family together. In February 2013 I found myself in the same situation....again. This time it felt different. I feel like I stayed the first time to set an example for my children, and when it happened again, I felt like I had to set a different  example for my children and leave the situation. 

 

Going through divorce with a 10 and a 13-year-old and having to go back to work full-time was again one of the most difficult times in my life. I believe I’m so passionate about helping people heal because I know the joy, happiness, growth, and all these great things that are waiting on the other side of the healing journey. All of the tools you get along the way, really help you grow into being the person that I believe God created us to be. So if you find yourself dealing with an unexpected life transition, I can definitely help you because I know what it takes to stay and make something work and I also know what it takes to go and start a new chapter.  I’m happy to report that in January 2018 I met a widower, and we quickly fell in love and got married in December of the same year. I have learned so much through marriage to a widower, having step kids and blending a family that I have more experience to share with people who find themselves in those situations. (Isn't it crazy that we really don't understand something until we go through it and why I know coaching works because I have been exactly where you are!)   I am also happy to report that my ex-husband and I have a great co-parenting relationship that works for us and our family.  We both have amazing spouses that love us and our kids and we are able to get together for big events with our children like birthdays and graduations.  It takes work and maturity to put your children first but it is so worth it and a way to redeem the pain of divorce.  It's truly been a miracle and I believe your miracle is waiting for you! 

 

I am so thankful that everything I went through that brought me to where I am today...I have the life, marriage and family that I’ve always dreamed of and I know the work it takes to have those things.  It isn't a perfect life...it is beautiful and sometimes messy and I wouldn't change any of it.  I am a living example that it’s never too late to live healthily happily ever after.  If I can do it, I promise you can too, and I’m here to help and support you, and turn your wounds into wisdom. I believe from the bottom of my heart that the best is truly yet to come so let’s connect and grow there together!
